This one-hour course offers participants a space to refocus, reeducate and re-experience the self. Participants will be introduced to controlled breathing, guided imagery and progressive muscle relaxation. When practiced correctly, meditation and mindfulness offer deep and lasting benefits for mental functioning, emotional and physical health and well-being. Even mild stress can make it difficult to control your emotions, which can lead to heated, uncomfortable exchanges at work. Studies have shown that breathing-based meditation can have an impact on the nervous system and generate different emotions – it’s the only autonomic process that can be controlled.
